Studies show Organic Can Feed the World

The term "organic" has garnered a lot of media attention recently -- not always positive. As members of the organic farming community, we are in a position to explain the benefits of organic to others. This webpage can help you spread the good news about organic farming based on researched facts.

MOSES Organic Education Specialist Joe Pedretti first wrote about this issue in the March-April 2012 Organic Broadcaster. The full article is available here. Based on that piece, we created three PDFs (linked above) about long-term field trials that prove the value of organic production.

Talking points:

  • Organic agriculture can feed the world.

  • Organic agriculture has rigorous and verified standards of production.
  • Organic foods are the fastest-growing segment of the grocery store.
