Growing Organic Herbs

Four Elements Organic Herbals
North Freedom, Wis.

Friday, July 25, 2014

This In Her Boots workshop took place at Jane Hawley Stevens’ certified organic herb farm. Jane showed us her educational Chakra Garden, where the herbs are placed according to the body systems they support. We also explored the extensive production field and the new product manufacturing facility. Jane explained various aspects of her business, including how she used the USDA Value Added Producers Grant to create packaged tea.

A big thank you to Jane Hawley Stevens and her staff and family for hosting such an informative and inspiring day on their certified organic farm. And, thanks to Organic Valley/Organic Prairie for donating product for lunch.

Attendees harvested lots of new insights from Jane:

  •  “I feel so much more confident in what my path has led me to. Just keep experimenting, follow the passion and success fill come.”
  •  “Jane did a great job of explaining everything in a way that made it easy to understand as well as her ease in relating information on a highly technical level.”
  • “I always can apply things I learn at MOSES events.”
